The 2019 Honda Civic Sedan: Refined and Updated
August 06 2019, Regina Honda
The Civic is now in its tenth generation and just keeps getting better. Its low profile and athletic presence with a restyled front end give it a fresh appearance for 2019. The DX, LX, EX, Sport, and Touring trims lead the way for this model year.
The 2019 Honda Civic’s exterior is designed for Canadian roads, with each model delivering a practical set of standard equipment. The DX’s heated power door mirrors keep viewing angles clear and the LED taillights make sure you’re visible in many conditions. LX owners upgrade to special project-beam headlights, while the EX trim adds 16” alloy wheels, speed-sensing wipers, and a moonroof.
The Sport model incorporates dark alloy 18” wheels, giving the Civic a more sinister look. Touring models have a rear deck lid spoiler, chrome door handles, brightened alloy wheels, and auto on/off LED headlights and front turn signal indicators.
Boosted Power and an Optional Turbocharged Engine for the 2019 Honda Civic
Over the decades, Civic owners have enjoyed nimble yet very efficient engines. All trims, aside from the Touring, have a 2.0-litre four-cylinder motor that generates a road-gripping 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. The DX, with its manual transmission, achieves average fuel consumption of 8.0 l/100 km, while the CVT transmission on the LX, EX, and Sport trims reduce it to 8.0 l/100 km. The Touring model incorporates a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, which has a nominal increase in fuel consumption.

The LX adds a 60/40 split fold-down seatback, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and a seven-inch display.
EX models add dual-zone automatic climate control, a remote engine starter, and an eight-way adjustable driver’s seat. The Sport upgrades to 18” aluminum alloy wheels, a black decklid spoiler, and halogen fog lights. Touring owners receive a voice recognition system with display, HD radio, and more.
